CONCERNING THE PROTECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
1. Personal Information
Personal information does not include business contact information of business representatives where such information was provided to us for the purposes of facilitating communication with that person in their professional capacity. Personal information is information concerning individuals only and does not cover corporate or other types of information.
2. Collection of Personal Information
At Gaber, we only collect personal information required to:
(i) establish and administer Gaber customer accounts;
(ii) process and administer orders for Products, including without limitation with respect to processing payments and facilitating shipping;
(iii) carry out collections with respect to ordered Products, as may be necessary from time to time; and
(iv) to provide you with information from time to time concerning Gaber and its Products or related services.
At Gaber, we will only require the personal information necessary to carry out the task for which such personal information is being collected. Unless the purposes for collecting such personal information are obvious, we will communicate the purposes for which personal information is being collected, either orally or in writing, before or at the time of collection.
3. Use and Disclosure
Gaber will only use or disclose customer personal information where necessary to fulfill the purposes for which the information was collected. Gaber will not use or disclose customer personal information for any additional purposes without obtaining your further consent unless required by law.
Gaber does not sell customer information or customer lists to other parties.
It is important to note that where you place an order with Gaber for Products through the Gaber Website, www.gaber.com, Gaber shall be authorized to disclose your order information (including any necessary personal information) to its distributor for the payment and processing of the order for Products and to facilitate Product shipment or delivery.
4. Retaining Personal Information
If Gaber uses customer personal information to make a decision that directly affects the customer, Gaber shall retain such information for at least one year so that the affected customer has a reasonable opportunity to request access to such information.
Gaber has in place security safeguards to help protect personal information against unauthorized access, use, modification and disclosure. We evaluate our security practices on a regular basis to best protect those that use the Gaber Website or order Products.
Gaber will use appropriate security measures when destroying customer personal information.
Customers have a right to access their personal information under the custody or control of Gaber, subject to limited exceptions
A request for access to personal information must be made in writing and must provide sufficient detail to identify the personal information being sought. A request for access to personal information should be forwarded to the Gaber Privacy Officer at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Gaber will, upon request, identify how customer personal information was used and to whom it has been disclosed.
Gaber will respond to requests for access to personal information by the subject customer within thirty (30) days of receipt, or provide written notice of an extension where additional time is required to fulfill the request. If a request is refused in whole or in part, Gaber will notify the customer in writing, providing the reasons for the refusal and the recourse available to the customer.
8. Links to Third Party Websites
The Gaber Website may contain links to other websites or applications. These links do not constitute an endorsement by Gaber. Your use of any such third party sites will be at your own risk and subject to third party terms and conditions (including with respect to personal information). You should carefully review third party terms and conditions prior to using third party websites.
